We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Heavy Equipment Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of heavy machinery used in mining operations. Your knowledge and experience will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance of the equipment, maintaining safety standards, and enhancing the efficiency of our client's mining processes.
Responsibilities
- 1. Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:
- Heavy equipment fitters responsible for maintaining and repairing mining equipment, including:
- * Haul Trucks - Ensure timely servicing, component replacements, and troubleshooting for haul trucks (such as Caterpillar 793F and 789C models).
- * Backhoe Loaders - Oversee maintenance tasks for backhoe loaders. * Excavators - Coordinate repairs and inspections for excavators.

* Mobile Cranes - Manage maintenance schedules and repairs for mobile cranes used in morning operations.
- * Attending to breakdowns in timely and effective results
Must Have
- Trade Qualification or related field. Hold a relevant trade certificate (e.g., Heavy Equipment Fitter, Diesel Mechanic).
- Experience: Mining experience is essential. Demonstrated experience in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment used in mining, particularly haul truck, backhoe, loaders, excavators, and mobile cranes
- Skills: Proven ability to perform and must be a team player of mechanical tradesman.
- Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Problem Solving: Skilled in diagnosing equipment issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, operators, and management.
